Farewell 2014

You've been a good one, 2014. This year I got to celebrate so many things. Weddings (including my own!), babies, holidays, reunions, puppies, starting this blog...it's been good.

I could share a zillion more pictures of our wedding and never really do it justice. The day was a blur in the most wonderful way. It was nowhere near perfect, but it was amazing.

And Key West was fabulous. The bed and breakfast we stayed in was divine, and the food sublime. It was a wonderful honeymoon!

In 2014 I helped plan our 10 year high school reunion. It was a bit of a nightmare to plan we all had a blast when the weekend finally arrived!

And I can't forget Winchester! We adopted this little guy in May, right after we got back from our honeymoon. He is not so little anymore, though. He's about 60 pounds now but still thinks he can fit in our laps!

See? He needs his own chair now!

And I can't forget one of my favorite DIY projects of the year. I'm still so proud of our bed! We bought a basic mattress and box springs and made this bed from it. And it's still just as comfy and cute as it was the day we finished.

But the most popular DIY project on the blog was the DIY Shotgun Shell Boutonnieres. It picked up some traction on Pinterest apparently, because it is the most popular post I wrote this year. Which makes me happy, because it was probably my favorite wedding project!

So much more happened in 2014, but those were the highlights. Or at least what came to me today. I'm fighting a cold (ok, I'm hoping it's just a cold and not the flu!) and can't really focus too well right now. But 2014 is coming to a close today, whether I'm ready for it or not.

Farewell 2014. You've been good to me. Here's hoping 2015 is just as good!
