Friday, I'm in Love: New Fall TV!

I'm so glad fall tv shows are back! I waited for this post because I've been wanting to see Marry Me, the new show with Casey Wilson (from Happy Endings), and it just started last week.

So let me start there!

Marry Me is an NBC show that starts off with a proposal gone wrong between Annie and Jake, a couple who has been dating for 6 years. This show is by the creator of Happy Endings, a show I was really disappointed to see go. Also, Annie's two dads are played by Tim Meadows (the principal from Mean Girls) and Dan Bucatinsky (James Novak from Scandal) and are hilarious.  Marry Me has potential, but it probably isn't for everyone.

A to Z is another new NBC rom-com. It stars the Mother from How I Met Your Mother, and it reminds me of 500 Days of Summer. Each episode is based on a letter of the alphabet. It's a little quirky and clearly has a limited run (26 letters of the alphabet, obviously) but I'm going to stick with it and see where it goes!

I tried to watch Selfie (ABC) but I couldn't even get through the first episode. I really wanted to like it. I love Karen Gillan. I'm afraid she will always be Amy Pond to me, and hearing her try an American accent was painful. I know some people like this show but I just couldn't do it.

I've also been recording How to Get Away With Murder, but I haven't watched any episodes yet. I missed the pilot and I need to watch it online before I can get through the ones I've recorded.

I'm intrigued by Bad Judge, Gotham, and Gracepoint, but I could only add so many shows to my DVR. Other than these new ones, I regularly watch Scandal (OMG), Chicago Fire (my husband's favorite), Chicago PD (I only watch for my husband), Big Bang Theory, Modern Family, Castle, Doctor Who, and America's Funniest Home Videos. Some of these I watch every week, some I save up for a weekend binge.

It sounds like a lot, writing it all down. But there were several years when I didn't have cable, so I didn't keep up with many new shows. I started watching the New Girl, the Mindy Project, and Two Broke Girls when they started, but since I didn't have a DVR then I got behind and gave up. I might catch up on those shows some day, but not any time soon.

What shows should I be watching? Did I miss a favorite of yours?
